Bringing ‘Sir Henry Royce’ to Life 

Eric Holmes, Director of the 225 Group, visited the MoSR in February to explore how we can work together on preserving and interpreting 91131 Sir Henry Royce.

We discussed opportunities for 225 Group members to support museum events involving 91131 including sharing first-hand knowledge from the open cab, engaging with visitors, answering questions about Class 91 operations, and demonstrating the controls. 

We are also hopeful that members with maintenance experience might assist with the ongoing care and cosmetic upkeep of the engine. We are enthusiastic about working with such a knowledgeable organisation and glad of the opportunity to bring 91131’s story to an even wider audience. More updates to come.
