Fresh Faces Front of House

We are delighted to welcome four fresh faces to our front of house team this summer.

Alasdair joins us through his school’s partnership programme and brings a strong interest in railways—particularly signalling.  He has quickly become a helpful and cheery presence in the halls and is now building confidence helping our volunteers with tours and conservation housekeeping tasks.

Sam, a longstanding and dedicated member of our Youth Group, is now taking the next step in her heritage career by training as a volunteer guide. Her clear, engaging tours and extensive knowledge of the exhibits are already appreciated by visitors.

Tom has joined us as a seasonal Museum Assistant before beginning a degree in History and Economics in the autumn.  As the most local of the group, he brings useful knowledge of the surrounding area to his tours and conversations.

Finally, Joe, a regular visitor turned volunteer, brings a love of the collection and a positive manner that make him a valuable addition to our team.

We hope members will take a moment to welcome everyone personally when they are next in the exhibition halls.
