It all began in a pigeon van – the MoSR Signalling Centre of Knowledge working group plan for the future.

Across June, professionals and enthusiasts from the Scottish signalling world met at Bo’ness to progress a plan for the MoSR Signalling Centre of Knowledge.

This unique offer, which has at its heart the Forbes Alexander and John Young Collections, aims to preserve and interpret all aspects of signalling, old and new, and will provide access to suit all levels of interest.

Much discussion was had as to how we might fit our newly acquired pigeon van to serve as bespoke, interactive display space for the vast array of instruments we have in our collection.  The group also spent time considering how we might begin to acquire a contemporary collection of equipment and signallers’ stories to capture what the profession looks like now.
