Scotland’s Climate Week – Stories for Change

Stories are a powerful tool for connecting people and inspiring action.
Scotland’s Climate Week 2024 will run from 23-29 September. This annual event highlights the importance and urgency of tackling climate change and celebrates all the positive climate action being taken across the country to help inspire further collective, transformative change.
This year’s theme is “Stories for Change” which aims to encourage individuals, communities, and organisations to share their personal experiences and actions of what they’re doing to adapt to and combat climate change.

Volunteer Stories for Change.
Look out for stories about how our volunteers are taking climate action. We will be sharing personal Stories for Change across the week via our social media channels using #ScotClimateWeek.
Celebrating with Friends.
Lucy Neville, Climate Officer MGS, will be celebrating the start of Climate Week with a trip along the Bo’ness and Kinneil Railway. Lucy will be chatting to the volunteers leading our site wide species recording project and exploring some of the natural history of Scotland’s railways with the MoSR Youth Group. Find out how she enjoyed her day via Museums Galleries Scotland (Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn).
Climate Literacy at the Museum of Scottish Railways.
In October, General Manager Katy will be undertaking carbon literacy training with the Carbon Literacy Trust thanks to support from the Heritage Alliance.
